FINANCIAL AID
The purpose of student
financial aid
is to provide assistance to students who, without financial aid, would be unable to attend. There are a variety of different types of aid available. Some of these are grants, loans, scholarships, veteran’s benefits and in house payment plans.
For more information on In-house Payment Plans (IPP), or help with determining which aid is right for you, call Leonarda Rinaldi (203) 528-3550. HOW TO APPLY

Direct Subsidized Loan –
The Federal Government pays the interest for Direct Subsidized Loans while the student is in college or while the loan is in deferment.
Direct Unsubsidized Loan –
Similar to a Direct Subsidized loan, with the difference being that interest begins accruing as soon as the loan is taken out.
Parent PLUS Loan –
These are Federal loans that graduate, or professional degree students and parents of dependent undergraduate students, can use to help pay education expenses.
TYPES OF GRANT PROGRAMS
Pell Grant –
A Pell Grant is money the government provides for students who need it to pay for college. Grants, unlike loans, do not have to be repaid. Eligible students receive a specified amount each year under this program.
